Dasha Logan – A night at the theatre

The weekend is here,

Dasha Logan performs at the REX KL this weekend. The performance features DJ Kirstie, Bourbon Lassi and K-Town Clan. A Night At The Theatre is a showcase featuring songs from the debut with an odd one or two cover tunes in conjunction with the first anniversary of the release. Dasha joins us as we look forward to the night at the theatre.

Let the music remove the weight of your everyday stresses. Let the lights blind your pains away and let the ground tremble with the joyous vibrations of yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Gerai OA at Gerimis Gallery

The weekend is here,

Gerai OA & Galeri Gerimis will celebrate World Indigenous People’s Day (8/8) with a tabletop sale and a beading workshop.

We’ll have a range of indigenous crafts available, including new items, plus some books on indigenous issues. And yes, pandanus mats too by the Semelai of Tasek Bera, Pahang.

The workshop is limited to 6 people daily; you can choose your own time slots. The RM50 fee (minus costs) will benefit the Sinompuru Women’s group in Kg Tinangol and Kudat in Sabah.

A Bouquet of Love, Solo Bharatanatyam 

When Sutra Foundation started its first Dance Outreach Class in Kuala Selangor in 2013, Sukumaran and Sabitha Devi enrolled their eight-year-old daughter, Kirthana, in Odissi. 

Audiences may remember her as the child star in the full-length Odissi production, GANJAM. 

At seventeen, her aspiration of becoming a professional dancer and teacher is taking shape. Kirthana can lay claim as the first dancer from Sutra Dance Outreach Program to do a Bharatanatyam arangetram.
