Klpac and The Actors Studio is proud to present its first rock concert in three years.

Rewind, an unplugged offshoot of its wildly successful Let’s Rock series, is set to rock the stage from 18 to 22 August 2022 at Pentas 2, klpac.

It’s time to relive your wild teenage years. Dig out your favourite band’s T-shirt and come sing and scream at the top of your lungs to mega rock hits from the 90s to the early 2000s.

It will serve best of the best, from alternative legends to grunge rockers, as well as some of the top names from the heydays of the rock era.

The soundtrack of teenage years

Like most music fans, Rewind Director Ian Chow filled his Walkman, Discman and, finally, mp3 player with rock anthems.

He shared, “We are beyond excited to finally bring Rewind to audiences after three years of planning.

“The set is like a soundtrack to my teenage years, and it has given me a chance to relive that turbulent period filled with lots of ups and downs, angst and great memories.

He added, “This will be the first time I will be transforming Pentas 2 into an arena staging. The audience will be seated in the round, and the performers will be in the middle.

Music lovers can enjoy the rock concert vibes intimately and safely. I look forward to the challenge and seeing the audience’s reaction.”

Exciting line-up

Rewind welcomes Let’s Rock headliner Fuad Alhabshi of Kyoto Protocol and vocalists Priscillia Xavier, Kirsten Long, Evan Cheah and the group’s baby, 18-year-old Cynthia Gan.

They will be accompanied by a 4-piece acoustic band comprising music director cum pianist Jacqueline Teng, guitarist Jeremy James Kong, drummer Alex Lee, bassist Timothy Voo, and cellist Eugene Chong.

Besides the exciting line-up and unique layout, Rewind boasts another interesting feature.

Much like two sides to a tape, two programmes will be performed back to back in one night but sold separately.

Audiences can pick one with 13 songs each or both programmes making it a 26-song marathon.
