Big win for SJMC at the GlobalHealth Asia-Pacific awards

SJMC competed against the leading international brands from the region, including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, and India.

Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) won six awards at the GlobalHealth Asia-Pacific Conference & Awards (GHAPAC) 2022.

The award ceremony was held at the Bangkok Marriott Sukhumvit Hotel, Thailand on August 7.

SJMC said its innovative approach to multidisciplinary patient treatment and leading diagnostics enabled it to bag five other awards.

The hospital competed against the leading international brands from the region, including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, and India.

The awards won by Malaysia’s leading hospital are as follows.

  • Stand-Out Jury Award Hospital of the Year in Asia-Pacific
  • Advanced Genetic Service Provider of the Year in the Asia Pacific
  • Oncology (Radiation) Service Provider of the Year in the Asia Pacific
  • Orthopaedic Service Provider of the Year in the Asia Pacific
  • Paediatric Oncology Service Provider of the Year in the Asia Pacific
  • Robotic Rehabilitation Service Provider of the Year

The Global Health APAC Awards ceremony aims to recognise medical and related facilities in the Asia-Pacific region for their excellence in healthcare and patient care.

“These individuals coupled with our commitment to innovation and medical advancements have placed SJMC where it is today on the regional healthcare map.

“We will ensure that high standards in patient care, medical outcomes and continuous innovation continue to be the driving force in our journey forward,” said SJMC CEO Bryan Lin.

The awards also serve as a benchmark for healthcare providers to maintain high industry standards.

The hospital was established in 1985 in Subang Jaya to provide comprehensive and complex care in all specialities.

SJMC is also a tertiary referral hospital. It receives local patient referrals from within Malaysia and international patients from the Asia Pacific region.

Since its establishment, SJMC has become a recognised name for the wave of innovation for medical excellence.

On August 5, SJMC celebrated its 37th anniversary by unveiling a time capsule dating back to 1990.
