After leaving us 13 years ago, the performances of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson will be resurrected by the famed impersonator Rodrigo Teaser through Michael Lives Forever’s production.
The one-of-a-kind tribute show has sold out across Latin America, Europe and the US, with over 500,000 fans attending the show.
For the first time, Rodrigo is bringing the show to Kota Kinabalu.
The ‘Michael Lives Forever World Tour – Kota Kinabalu, Sabah’ concert will take place on September 15 at the Sabah International Convention Center (SICC).
The concert is specially brought by MK Group, hosted by Star Planet Entertainment, and co-organised by Sounds Tech Production.
After Kota Kinabalu, the production will go to Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting on September 18.
The late King of Pop Michael Jackson performed in Stadium Merdeka in 1996.
Impersonating Michael Jackson
As the only impersonator mentioned on Michael Jackson’s official website, Rodrigo painstakingly respects every aspect of Michael’s creations.
Teaser first started imitating Jackson at nine years old, then performed on numerous local TV shows in Brazil.
Since then, the 42-year-old impersonator has spent over 20 years perfecting his professional pop star career.
Rodrigo’s stage performance also showcases over 60 costumes meticulously replicated what Michael had worn originally.
Moreover, Rodrigo has gone above and beyond and appointed Michael’s original choreographer for over 20 years – Lavelle Smith Jr. as his show choreographer.
The Kota Kinabalu show
The tribute show will start at 8.30 p.m and includes classic hits such as “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” “Smooth Criminal”, and “Thriller.”
With 16 crew members comprising dancers and musicians, Michael Lives Forever will take audiences on a “time travel” to each Jackson era, where the King of Pop’s hit songs and dance moves performed live.
