Miss Asia Global 2022 finals to be held in Penang

Miss Asia Global 2022 final coronation night will take place in Penang on September 17th, 2022.

The contestants will arrive on September 8th and 9th. They will then participate in the week of the pageant starting on September 10th.

The Miss Asia Global pageant returns to the stage after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

Miss Asia Global – Malaysia communications director Alice Lee said that the final coronation should have hit the stage in Penang last year. However, border closure led to the cancellation of the event.

Following the border opening, the organisers are going ahead to stage the sixth edition of the pageant.

“To all national directors, we look forward to welcoming the charming contestants. We wish to take this opportunity to thank you for your great effort in preparing your contestants for Malaysia,” said Alice, in a press statement.

Themed “Impacting Communities, Inspiring Hopes”, the pageant will have its final coronation at the Setia Spice Convention Centre, Penang.

The sixth edition of this pageant is organised by Penang State exco for tourism and creative economy.

Malaysia’s representative for this edition is Carol Lye. She won the Miss Asia Global Malaysia 2019 / 2020 crown in Penang in 2019.

The fifth edition of Miss Asia Global took place at Gokulam Convention Centre in Kochin, Kerala, India.

Miss Serbia, Sara Damnjanovic was crowned the Miss Asia Global 2019, followed by Leeseul Kim from Korea and Jeanyeer Ozbot from the Philippines, taking the first and second runner-up spots, respectively.

Vietnam’s Nguyen Thi Yen Trang won the ‘Miss Asia’ title.

Miss Asia Global is owned and licensed by Dr Ajit Ravi of House of Pegasus.

According to Dr Ajit, Miss Asia Global is a pageant to find the most beautiful and talented women from the Asian and Eurasian regions.

“The event provides a platform for young girls with dreams in their starry eyes but no formal opportunity or backing to launch themselves into the much-coveted career of fashion, film, advertising and allied glamour industries.

“We intend to create a Platform for the untrained to elicit enthusiasm for the trained eye. We bring the knock in through a title event, grooming them to be able to live through any situation and condition,” he added
