AirAsia Academy explores a more meaningful collaboration with Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK) by leveraging the comprehensive offerings of Malaysia’s leading e-learning platform, Jom Tuisyen.

Its director of strategy & innovation, Dr Ram Gopal Raj, has always been about democratising education where students can choose and manage their learning.

“This way, we can empower students to exercise self-determination in their education.

“Through this partnership with YCK and Jom Tuisyen, we can do much more than just providing learning materials but making them more aware of how this medium can help them achieve something more meaningful in their lives.”

Dr Ram also demonstrated AirAsia Academy’s on-demand learning (ODL) during a community outreach program at the Pusat Aktiviti Kanak-Kanak (PAKK) in Chow Kit.

Meanwhile, prominent child rights activist and founder of YCK, Dato Dr Hartini Zainuddinsaid: “For so long, we have been providing education in so many forms to these children that deserve so much more.

“In that time, through all our successes, we also came across all sorts of hurdles that we sought not just to leap over but someday eliminate.

“This collaboration with AirAsia Academy and Jom Tuisyen seems to be the step towards leaping over as we kick down those hurdles that had always stood in our way.”

Dr Hartini also added that the children can now access all their classes and tutorials from their spaces.

“They don’t have to pay painstakingly excessive fees and have been making groundbreaking progress in their learning with all the resources they need for a wholesome education at their fingertips.

“A significant improvement in growth has allowed them to progress their learning in and out of class through the multiple hours on school days and some nights of extra classes by our diligent teaching staff.

“This is truly the step we at YCK have been looking for towards a sustainable and reliable tool for delivering quality education to children that can now refine their untapped and overlooked potential.”
