SESB inks MOU to become world class service provider

Enstrapp IT Solutions has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd of Malaysia (SESB) to support its vision to become a sustainable, innovative world-class utility service provider.

CEO of SESB Ir Ts Mohd Yaakob HJ Jaafar and Co-founder and Global CRO of Enstrapp IT Solutions Srinadh Varma signed the MoU.

SESB Company Secretary Zunaidah Osman and Chief Information Officer Ismail Chakima witnessed the signing.

The objective of the MoU is to support and augment the digitalisation programme by increasing the innovation and technology prowess of Enstrapp. 

The activities include:

• Creating a roadmap for innovation.
• Identifying and plugging technology gaps.
• Implementing identified initiatives.
• Working with various stakeholders in different departments.

The departments involved are Finance, Procurement, Asset Maintenance, Quality, Health & Safety, Customer Service, and Human Resources.

The programme enhances competitiveness in all areas by launching the Digital-Wave framework of Enstrapp Digital-Wave.

The framework covers SAP S/4HANA, Industrial Mobility (Enterprise Mobility Applications), Automation (Hyper RPA and IIOT), Platform Optimisation (Digital-Twins & DevOps), Data Security and Analytics to increase the utilisation of the existing tech resources and reap the good benefits, increase end-user and customer experience. 

This MoU also covers co-innovation, empowering SESB’s IT team, and broadening Enstrapp’s product reach within the near geography.

Established in 1998, Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) is a Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) subsidiary, with 20% of the stake owned by the State Government of Sabah.

It is a vertically integrated utility providing reliable generation, transmission, and distribution services in the states of Sabah and the Federal Territory of Labuan.

SEBS has shown its commitment in developing the electricity infrastructure in the state of Sabah and the Federal Territory of Labuan through generation, transmission, and distribution.

As Sabah’s sole utility service provider, SESB continues to apply innovative technological approaches and support the growing electricity demand.
