Spook-tacular Halloween Hantu Ball 2 returns to klpac

Halloween Hantu Ball 2 presents a night of chills and thrills in this 85-minute music adventure that will make even the skeletons want to sing and shake along.

Halloween Hantu Ball

After eight long years, the award-winning klpac Symphonic Band brings back a crowd favourite, the spook-tacular concert Halloween Hantu Ball 2 from 28 to 30 October 2022 at Pentas 1, klpac.

A night of chills and thrills awaits you in this 85-minute music adventure that will make even the skeletons want to sing and shake along.

The 62-strong klpac Symphonic Band, decked in their favourite costumes, will serve an array of freaky and eerie tunes from movies, TV programmes and musicals.

This presentation includes “Dance of the Knights” from Romeo and Juliet, theme music of famed TV programme Alfred Hitchcock Presents “Funeral March of a Marionette”, Jim Steinman’s bloodsucking “Tanz der Vampire”, “Toccata and Fugue” in D minor and Danny Elfman’s suspense-filled “The Nightmare Before Christmas”.

Besides that, haunting tunes like the unsettling John Mackey’s “Unquiet Spirits”, Shuhei Tamura’s “Angel, in the Dark”, J. Hellmesberger’s “Danse Diabolique”, and last but not least, Jimmy Dorsey’s “Oodles of Noodles”, featuring saxophonist Ian Chan, will also be performed.

Klpac is upping the fun factor to make up for the past few Halloweens and challenging audiences to come up with the scariest, creepiest and most creative Halloween outfit.

A night where ghouls, mummies, witches and all strange creatures are welcomed, there will also be a few surprises in store, including a Halloween-themed photo booth.

The symphonic band will perform under the baton of the Music Director and Resident Conductor Cheryl Mah and two esteemed guest conductors, Kevin Field and Dr Low Chee Meng.
