Malaysian medical student found dead in Bandung

A Malaysian medical student was found dead in her house in Bandung early today.

Inani Zalikha Zainal Abidin, 23, a fourth year student of Universiti Padjadjaran (Unpad), Bandung was found dead by a housemate at 5am.

Malaysian Students Department (MSD) director in Indonesia Datuk Dr Junaidy Abu Bakar said her cause of death has yet to be determined.

Inani, a MARA sponsored student, was undergoing practical training at a hospital in Bandung.

Her family in Bukit Antarabangsa, Ulu Klang had been informed of the tragic news and expected to arrive later today to take the body home for burial.

Dr Junaidy said MSD Indonesia, MARA and Malaysian embassy officials in Jakarta had gone to Bandung to arrange for the body’s return.
