Malaysia’s first and largest digital health provider, DOC2US, has set a new record in its number of e-prescription generated as it enters the fourth quarter of 2022.

Dr Raymond Choy, CEO and Co-founder of DOC2US, said “Started in 2017, with only 495 e-prescriptions filled, DOC2US’ smart pharmacy solution, Electronic Prescribing System (EPS) has come a long way  through the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2019 and the start of MCO in 2020.”

Choy said that the e-prescription services have been providing efficient digital dispensing service to over 2000 corporate clients and more than 1,500 authorised partner pharmacy outlets. With more than 3000 pharmacy outlets across Malaysia, one in every three outlets is currently adopting DOC2US’ digital solution.

“More than a million Malaysians have benefited from DOC2US’s Electronic Prescribing System (EPS), and this achievement is made possible with the support of our partner pharmacy outlets, network of  healthcare professionals and partners AIA Malaysia and MiCare through a seamless integration with the  MyAIA App and MiCare MyMed App.” Dr Choy added.

The emergence of the COVID-19 outbreak has accelerated Malaysia’s adoption of digital health, and e prescriptions have been bridging the gap between healthcare providers and patients. The demand for telemedicine solutions has become increasingly imperative among healthcare providers, reaping a variety of benefits for both service users and providers.

Digital health adoption has also found its place in the education arena following DOC2US’ MoU signing with International Medical University (IMU) as an industrial collaborator. IMU’s new digital health studies program will be spearheading the era of new generation tech-savvy and IT literate medical professionals.
