The Ukay Bestari housing project consisting of 1027 units of apartments in Hulu Klang here which has been abandoned since 2006 is scheduled to be fully completed by June next year, said Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Chor Chee Heung.
He said that he would be personally monitoring the project to ensure the deadline was met.
Blocks A and D were scheduled to be completed by December while the remaining four blocks would be fully completed by June, he told reporters after making a visit to the project site today.
He added that besides a landslide that occurred at the site in 2006, internal problems faced by the developer and other technical factors had caused the project to be delayed.
