Hop into the year of the rabbit at IPC

Visit Ӓndra’s Enchanting Garden to catch its transformation from Winter to Spring and be inspired towards a sustainable Lunar New Year

IPC Shopping Centre kicks off its Lunar New Year celebrations by transforming Ӓndra’s Enchanting Garden from winter to spring to usher in the year of the Rabbit. Shoppers can take advantage of exclusive Chinese New Year specials and fantastic rewards from now through February 5th, 2023.

IPC, which draws its inspiration from the five elements of Chinese metaphysics (metal, wood, water, fire, and earth), holds that human life parallels the natural laws and is thus interwoven with them.

Shoppers will delight in entertaining events including kid workshops focused on sustainability for Sm Club members, joyous CNY performances like the lion dance, and kid-favorite mascots God of Prosperity and Sm Club Buddies who will be making their rounds for a meet-and-greet.

There will also be a CNY Bazaar held at the concourse and Tack Club members who spend a minimum of RM388 in two receipts on the same day can redeem their very own rainbow calligraphy artwork on 14th and 15th January at the experiential lot opposite King Koil on Level 1.

In conjunction with the festivities, there are plenty of shopping rewards for shoppers and Tack Club members to redeem on the same day at the i-Counter located on Level G. Exclusive rewards are listed below:

  • Redeem two (2) RM5 worth of CNY e-vouchers with a minimum spend of RM200 in two (2) receipts
  • Redeem one (1) Ӓndra’s Red Packet set with a minimum spend of RM200 in two (2) receipts
  • Redeem one (1) IPC foldable shopping trolley cart with a minimum spend of RM1,000 in three (3) receipts for normal shoppers or with a minimum spend of RM800 in three (3) receipts for IPC Tack Club members

Championing Sustainability

By assisting in the preservation of nature, the shopping centre demonstrates its affinity with the environment. IPC keeps up its sustainability efforts by including eco-friendly materials into their Christmas mall decorations, then recycling and transforming them for use during Chinese New Year. These materials include compressed wood boards, paper, and fabric.

Ms Karyn Lim, General Manager of IPC Shopping Centre, said, “Our sustainable Christmas decorations received positive feedback from shoppers, and we are pleased to able to continue reusing the decorations to further showcase our creative and innovative sustainable efforts as we transform to Chinese New Year. Ushering in the year of the Rabbit, we keep in mind what the Rabbit symbolizes and that is longevity, peace and prosperity and we want to embody these values, and more in everything that we do in IPC. We hope to encourage shoppers to be sustainable by setting an example while showing them a good time, without compromise.”

IPC intends to encourage consumers to reduce, reuse, and recycle during this holiday season in order to contribute to a more sustainable future where everyone can live happily.

“We look forward to welcoming the new year and Chinese New Year celebrations with great deals and attractive promotions by our tenants. We have also recently added new enhancements to our Tack Club loyalty programme and want to remind our members to explore the new enhancements and convert their shopping spend into points for more rewards this Chinese New Year” added Karyn.

To further showcase their commitment to championing sustainability, IPC Shopping Centre has launched its very own video series titled “Into Planet Commitment” which takes a closer look at the various sustainable efforts and initiatives done at the shopping centre, with tenants as well as the staff themselves at home. The video encourages viewers and shoppers to make greener changes no matter how small as together, we can make an impact.
