Litrak set to make Puchong contra flow permanent

According to a report published yesterday, Litrak CEO Sazally Saidi said the company’s board of directors has flashed a green light to the proposal of making the system permanent.

The Damansara Puchong Highway (LDP) concessionaire Litrak is set to make the current contra-flow system at Puchong a permanent solution to daily traffic congestion.

According to a report published yesterday, Litrak CEO Sazally Saidi said the company’s board of directors has flashed a green light to the proposal of making the system permanent.

He was reported as saying the company will build an extra lane at the flyover from IOI Mall Puchong heading towards Subang Jaya as compensation once the contra-flow lane takes place.

He added that work is expected to start next year.

The contra-flow system stretching from the Sunway Toll to IOI Mall was introduced on March 8 this year from 4.30pm to 8.30pm on weekdays to alleviate the tailback of northbound traffic.

Even though it caused confusion during the initial stage, motorists have since generally commended the effort.
