Live Commerce Shopping platform Shoppymore celebrated its official launching and their 18-month milestone with the launch of two new initiatives: the Shoppymore mobile app and its Live Commerce platform Watch, Scan & Pay recently.
Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative Ministry’s Chief Secretary Datuk Sri Suriani Datuk Ahmad officiated the launching ceremony.
Shoppymore’s app is anticipated to drive business and further promote Malaysian products in the retail e-commerce sector by offering more accessible and quicker access anywhere and anytime. The easier accessibility to the e-retail platform augurs well for sellers whose products will be more accessible on the go.
Additionally, the “Live Commerce” initiative, Watch Scan and Pay, has been introduced specially to help sellers highlight and promote their products faster while reaching a wider audience.
“Through our “Live Selling” and “Live Shopping” platforms, they will also be able to close sales quicker,” said CEO Dato’ Sri Dr Barani Karuna Karan, sharing that Shoppymore was targeting RM100 million in sales this year.
He added that the Live Commerce segment was designed to facilitate and promote digital marketing, even for sellers with limited knowledge and experience.

The event also saw Shoppymore signing MoUs with Ipay88, City-Link Express and MYWAU Malaysia as the platform’s official payment gateway, logistics partner and strategic and official onboard partner, respectively. Thirty five Shoppymore sellers were recognised as Verified Sellers and presented with the “Verified Seller” Award. Meanwhile, awards were also presented to influencers for the category of, Inspirational Influencer of the Year, Creative Influencer of the Year, Super Favorite Influencer of the Year and Super Engagement Influencer of the Year.
Meanwhile, Dato’ Sri Suriani commended Shoppymore on its commitment to support the government’s efforts to assist local entrepreneurs and promote Malaysian-made products in the region through a digitalisation initiative. As mentioned by Shoppymore’s CEO and founder, Shoppymore is ready to support the government digitalisation initiative, which is also online with Putrajaya’s vision to make Malaysian local entrepreneurs build a successful business platform.
