Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya (MPSJ) has kicked off a major road resurfacing and road furniture repair project cost RM2.5 million within the municipality.
The project involves 49 roads with some major roads such as Persiaran Tujuan, Persimpangan Jengka-Kemajuan and Persiaran Puchong Perdana going through a major upgrade.
MPSJ engineering department assistant director, Mohd Ariffuddin Kamari said roads that have not been paved for more than 10 years are given priority under this project.
Mohd Ariffuddin Kamari also said that the project is budgeted by Malaysia Roads Record Information System (Morris), which allocates budget to each local council every year to pave the uneven roads.
Some of the areas which will have it’s road upgraded are USJ Subang Jaya, SS15 Subang Jaya, Pusat Bandar Puchong, Taman Wawasan Puchong, Taman Universiti Indah Serdang and Serdang Raya.
Bumpy stretch resurfaced
Meanwhile the 350-meter bumpy stretch in Jalan Wawasan 4/6, Puchong was finally resurfaced last Saturday by MPSJ.
This road, which has been an essential route for residents living along Jalan Wawasan 4/1 to Jalan Wawasan 4/9, was never resurfaced since its completion in year 2000.
The Wawasan 4 residents association (RA) secretary, Y.S Soong thanked MPSJ for resurfacing the much used road. He also applauded MPSJ councillor Tan Jo Hann’s persistent follow-up on the road resurfacing in the past two months.
