GigaBash is coming to Switch this August

Gigabash, an arena brawler made by Malaysian indie developer Passion Republic Games is coming to Nintendo Switch on August 3rd, 2023

GigaBash, a multiplayer action kaiju brawler game developed and published by Malaysian indie developer Passion Republic Games, is coming to Nintendo Switch. It will be available digitally for $24.99 USD on August 3rd, 2023, only two days before the game’s one-year anniversary on other platforms.

GigaBash is a multiplayer arena monster brawler in which players control huge monsters or kaiju in an arena and battle other players. It is similar to games such as War of the Monsters, Power Stone, and Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee.

It has a roster of characters who are either rampaging Titans or Titan-hunting mecha (Heroes), each with their own set of skills and gaming styles.

GigaBash mixes the chaos and ingenuity of arena brawlers with the jaw-dropping magnitude of classic kaiju movies and games. You can conjure lightning from the heavens and use a radio tower as a baton.

Due to its massive scale, you can demolish buildings and pick up and hurl massive ships like an angry infant. The game also allows players to throw office buildings at each other, as well as roll entire city districts and opponents into enormous snowballs to throw at other players.

If you cause enough destruction, you’ll develop into your final form, an even larger monster or the terrifyingly enormous S-Class, and you’ll be able to impose dominance over your opponents.

It includes a top-down view, a cute art style, and environments that can be demolished. Each of GigaBash’s maps includes a unique mechanic that enables players to interact and take advantage of these various layouts.

There is also a lot of variation, with levels ranging from populous cityscapes to a holidaymaker beach resort close to an active volcano to an industrial metropolis in the midst of Siberia.

Up to four players can each control a monster in the game, each of which has a unique set of skills. Although the game has a single-player element and supports online play, it’s best enjoyed locally with a few friends.

The first teaser trailer for the game was released on September 12, 2019. The game was launched on August 5, 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Windows. Gigabash has been featured in one of the world’s premier gaming expos, E3 2021. It has received praise for its simple controls, character movesets, and gimmick-filled stages.
