Dvořák, known for putting Czech music on the world map, will be represented by two of his most memorable works – Kolo from Slavonic Dances Op. 72 and Cello Concerto in B Minor. The latter features cello soloist Eric Yip and is one of the most famous pieces in the cello canon.

Under the direction of Music Director and Resident Conductor Lee Kok Leong, “Czech Impressions” will also highlight Smetana, the father figure of Czech music. The orchestra will perform the Overture and three dances – Polka, Furiant and Skočná – from the internationally acclaimed opera The Bartered Bride.
