“We need at least RM50,000.00 to rebuild the floor,” said RAKB founders Hamzah Busu and Wan Rokiah.
The cost of rebuilding of the floor is too taxing for the couple whom already being burdened by RM45,000.00 operational cost every month.
“We provide the children with three meals and pocket money. We also have 16 staffs here and that’s why we need public donations,” said the distraught founders.
“We are also making Raya biscuit for sell,”
United Amateur Radio Malaysia (UNIAM) decided to hold a charity ‘Buka Puasa’ dinner at the shelter home today evening upon learning about the incident.
Mirth and merriment abound when the UNIARM members showcased the children the way to play a communication radio and later fetched them with four-wheels cars for a short trip.
UNIARM member and the event coordinator Azhar Abu Rais said through radio the children could be exposed to the world by communicating to persons from foreign countries.
Exposing young minds to the world is essential, said Hamzah, who agreed to the event being held at the shelter home.
Many activities has been lined up including driving the children from the shelter home around to meet the community. UNIARM also plans to organize food and cloth donation drive.
RAKB and UNIARM are calling public to assist the children. To make donations, please contact Hamzah Busu at 03-7846 1637 or 016-251 6515.
