Marrybrown, Malaysia’s renowned Halal Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), has officially entered the Australian market with the grand opening of its first outlet in Burwood, Melbourne.
This milestone marks an important step for Marrybrown as it expands its international presence and introduces its distinctive fusion of Malaysian and Western flavours to a new audience.
The restaurant will offer a diverse menu featuring Marrybrown’s famous crispy chicken, alongside a variety of burgers, rice dishes, and desserts, showcasing the brand’s commitment to providing a unique culinary experience.
The flavourful debut of Marrybrown in Australia
After establishing itself in 16 countries worldwide since its inception in 1981, Marrybrown is excited to bring its tantalizing fare to Australian shores.
Located strategically in Burwood, near several universities, the new outlet aims to cater to students and residents with delicious meals at an affordable price.
Dato’ Joshua, the CEO of Marrybrown, expressed his commitment to delivering quality and excellent customer service at the Burwood Shopping Centre outlet.
Joshua said, “We chose to open our first outlet at Burwood Shopping Centre due to the high concentration of students living in this area. Our goal is to provide them with convenient access to delicious meals at an affordable price.”
Marrybrown’s mission and expansion plans
With a mission to offer “something different” to customers while maintaining Halal compliance and exceptional quality, Marrybrown aims to create a unique dining experience for all.
The restaurant will serve a range of signature dishes, including their renowned crispy chicken, along with local Malaysian delights like Curry Rice, Fried Rice with MB Crispy Chicken, and Nasi Lemak.
This diverse menu caters to both Western and Asian palates, providing a fusion of flavours under one roof.
Looking ahead, Marrybrown plans to open two additional outlets in Melbourne’s downtown CBD by the end of the year, with locations on Swanston Street and at Crown Casino.
These selections were made based on the high density of tourists and locals in these areas, as well as the need for more Halal eateries in the city centre. Marrybrown aspires to further expand its presence in Australia, including the possibility of opening additional outlets in states like Sydney and Perth.
Joshua emphasized the significance of Marrybrown’s achievement in Australia and expressed gratitude to their loyal fans for their support.
He concluded, “This is a monumental achievement for Marrybrown, and we owe it to our dedicated fans for making it happen here in Australia. We aim to build on our success in Melbourne and expand to other parts of Australia in the future.”
With its first outlet in Burwood and plans for future expansion in iconic locations like Swanston Street and Crown Casino, Marrybrown is poised to become a go-to destination for food enthusiasts seeking a unique culinary experience.
