Marivel Canillo crowned Mrs Tourism Ambassador Universe

Marivel Canillo Kawajiri, a homemaker from the Philippines residing in Japan, emerged victorious as she was crowned Mrs Tourism Ambassador Universe in the fifth edition of the prestigious global tilt.

The captivating event took place on June 5 in Kota Kinabalu, where representatives from various countries showcased their beauty and talent. This article highlights Kawajiri’s triumph and the celebration of diversity in the pageant.

The coronation ceremony, held at the Ming Garden Hotel featured five divisions—Mrs., Miss, Mister, Princess, and Prince. Marivel’s success follows in the footsteps of last year’s winner, Aida Patana from the Philippines, who was unable to attend the ceremony.

Marivel’s journey to becoming Mrs Tourism Ambassador Universe began with her selection as the representative for Japan in the Mrs Tourism Ambassador International Japan pageant.

This opportunity was earned after her remarkable victory in the inaugural edition of the competition held in Tokyo. Marivel’s triumph in the national competition showcased her exceptional talents, including Best in Talent and Best in Filipiniana.

During the international pageant in Malaysia, Marivel’s outstanding qualities were further recognized as she received titles such as Ms Intellectual, Ms Model Culture, and Best in Makeup. Her fellow Japanese contestant, Wannie Ono, a Filipino gym trainer based in Tokyo, was awarded Best in Gown and Mrs Congeniality.
