Epsom College launches integrated sports academies

The Mouratoglou Tennis Programme (MTP) at Epsom

Headed by tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou, the Mouratoglou Tennis Programme (MTP) offers students the chance to fully immerse themselves in the sport while pursuing their IGCSEs and A Levels.

Mouratoglou, renowned for mentoring tennis superstars like Serena Williams, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Coco Gauff, and Alexei Popyrin, oversees the MTP at Epsom.

Students receive top-notch training from coaches selected by the Mouratoglou Academy, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities including ITF-compliant outdoor and indoor courts.

The MTP also boasts partnerships with Dunlop and ASICS, providing students with sponsored tennis equipment and coach gear. Since its launch, MTP students have achieved remarkable success at international tournaments, showcasing their talent and dedication.

ECM Golf Academy – Unlocking Golfing Potential

At the heart of Epsom’s sports academies, the ECM Golf Academy aims to nurture the potential of aspiring golfers and support their journey towards peak performance, both physically and mentally.

Head Coach Travis van Dijk, a highly accomplished PGA Professional with over 17 years of experience, has a proven track record of developing elite junior players.

The ECM Golf Academy boasts a comprehensive 5-acre on-campus training facility, complete with a 30-bay driving range, indoor/outdoor teaching studios, and putting and chipping greens with sand bunkers. Additionally, students have the opportunity to receive on-course training at an 18-hole golf course 2-3 times weekly.

This integrated approach ensures that students receive the guidance and resources necessary to realize their full golfing potential.

LaLiga Academy Partnership – Elevating Football Excellence

Epsom College is delighted to announce its partnership with La Liga, the prestigious Spanish professional football division. The LaLiga Academy Malaysia, scheduled to commence in September 2023, will provide Epsom students with unparalleled football training and development opportunities.

The academy’s daily training sessions will take place on Epsom’s FIFA-approved 4G Astroturf football pitch, and participants will have the privilege of being coached by LaLiga experts who will reside on-site.

This collaboration between Epsom and LaLiga further strengthens Epsom’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals through holistic education. By offering top-tier football coaching alongside academic excellence, Epsom provides students with a unique platform to pursue their football aspirations while maintaining a balanced focus on their academic studies.

Epsom’s sports academies are open to students of all skill levels from the age of 11, with enrolment for Years 6 and 7 starting from September 2023 at no additional cost. Students aspiring for sports scholarships in the US will benefit from Epsom’s Higher Education team’s expertise and personalized application guidance.
