The 55-year-old navigator, who had etched his name into the annals of rally racing history, passed away yesterday evening after a valiant battle with illness.

Jagdev Singh’s journey in the world of rally racing was marked with achievements, partnerships, and an unwavering spirit that earned him respect and admiration across the globe. His story took a somber turn as he was rushed to Subang Jaya Medical Center on July 12, just one day after celebrating his birthday. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, the racing icon succumbed to the health battle he was confronting.

News of his passing spread through social media, as a close relative shared the sad news on Singh’s official Facebook account. While grappling with their profound loss, Singh’s family made a heartfelt request for privacy, asking that images of him in the hospital remain private out of respect for his memory.

The funeral service to honor the rally legend’s life and accomplishments is scheduled for today, August 8, 2023, Tuesday, at 1:30 pm. The ceremony will be held at the Kampung Tunku SS1 MBPJ Crematorium following prayers at PJ Gurdawara, Jalan Utara, PJS 52.
