Malaysia takes a significant stride towards sustainability with the launch of the “Jom Beli Produk Hijau” campaign.
Spearheaded by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change (NRECC), this initiative, running from September to December, champions eco-conscious consumer choices and underscores the importance of integrating green products into daily life.
The NRECC has joined forces with the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) and Shopee Malaysia, a leading e-commerce platform, to bring this green movement to life.
A digital call to sustainability
The “Jom Beli Produk Hijau” campaign holds a central message – the promotion of certified green products. These products bear the MyHIJAU Mark recognition scheme and other trusted green labels, guaranteeing their eco-friendly credentials.
The range encompasses household essentials, from detergents to paints, packaging products to kitchen utensils, and paper. This comprehensive selection empowers consumers to make eco-conscious choices seamlessly in their daily lives.
In a bid to reward eco-conscious shoppers, the campaign offers enticing vouchers. For every RM20 spent on green products, shoppers receive RM5 vouchers.
Those who spend RM50 or more are entitled to RM20 vouchers, which can be redeemed for future purchases. These vouchers provide an extra incentive for consumers to embrace green choices, making it easier to contribute to environmental preservation.
