This centre serves dual purposes as a research centre and forest seed bank, focusing on nurturing endangered wetlands plant species and conserving ecologically vital flora. It also showcases plant specimens typical of peat swamp habitats.

Khariza Abd Khalid, Executive Director of Gamuda Land, elaborated on the centre’s significance, saying, “The Wetlands Arboretum Centre represents a substantial commitment to sustainable living, conservation, and biodiversity preservation. This ambitious endeavour aims not only to safeguard and restore native species but also to aid the recovery of endangered plant and animal populations, contributing to the ecological equilibrium of our region.”

Khariza added, “Our Jungle School Programme, an educational outdoor learning initiative for nature enthusiasts and school-going children, has been enriched with the establishment of the Wetlands Arboretum Centre. This programme, priced at RM75, offers participants a guided experiential safari tour through Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands, led by experienced rangers.

The journey unfolds with fascinating insights into the wetland’s diverse ecosystem, culminating at the Wetlands Arboretum Centre. Here, a carefully curated syllabus awaits, featuring nature-based experiential workshops such as ‘water scientist’ lessons and urban farming techniques, providing young learners with practical, hands-on knowledge in an engaging outdoor setting.”

With the introduction of Electric Go-karting, Paintball Target Shooting, and ATV adventures, Discovery Park has expanded its offerings to a total of 12 attractions. These exciting activities are now available at the following prices:

1. Electric Go-karting: Experience Asia’s most advanced kart racing, suitable for riders of different skill levels, with speeds of up to 60km/h. Price: RM75 per session.
2. Paintball Target Shooting: Engage in thrilling and competitive target shooting activities, ideal for both small and large groups. Price: RM10 for 15 pellets.

• Note: Participants must be 12 years old and above. Those under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

1. ATV Adventures: Embark on a multi-terrain adventure through off-road trails, including hills, mud, and sand, for an exhilarating day out. Prices:

• RM80 for a 20-minute session.
• RM120 for a 40-minute session.
• Note: Participants must be aged 16 years old and above to ride the ATVs.
