Former Miss Malaysia 2012, Lee Yvonne, has embarked on a mission to raise awareness about road rage and the urgent need for change following a shocking incident involving her brother. The beauty queen took to social media to share her brother’s harrowing ordeal, shedding light on the pervasive issue of road bullying in Kuala Lumpur.
Alleged involvement of a “VIP”
In a heartfelt video post on her Instagram and Facebook account, Lee Yvonne recounted the disturbing events that unfolded the previous night when her brother fell victim to a road rage incident while stuck in traffic. The incident allegedly involved a “VIP” (Very Important Person), which added complexity to the situation.
“The individual in the car behind him persistently honked, demanding him to move. This individual grew increasingly irate and eventually left his vehicle,” Lee Yvonne explained in her video.
Her brother, caught in the gridlock, found himself unable to maneuver his vehicle due to the heavy traffic conditions. To make matters worse, the aggressor verbally abused her brother, referring to him as a ‘dog,’ and physically assaulted him.

Distressed by her brother’s ordeal, Lee Yvonne shared footage of her brother’s face following the assault, highlighting the brutality of the incident. Her video quickly gained traction, amassing 3,780 likes and a staggering 113,000 views within hours.
In her impassioned plea for change, Lee Yvonne emphasized the importance of not engaging with road bullies and urged everyone to prioritize safety first. She advised, “In today’s world, there are numerous dangerous and irate individuals. The best course of action is to walk away. Sometimes, by avoiding confrontation and putting your ego aside, you emerge as the victor. Prioritize your safety first and reflect on the situation later.”
Holding road bullies accountable
Her message resonated with her followers, including @jessie_lh and @johnmc876, who called for legal action against the aggressor. Jessie_lh commented, “Please lodge a report and make the law punish them. Raise this to the media, police, authority, politicians with your medical report, dashcam footage, and evidence. Power and influence are not to be abused by these people. Hope your brother gets well soon physically and psychologically.”
Lee Yvonne’s courageous stance against road bullying has ignited a crucial conversation about the urgent need for change and the importance of standing up against acts of aggression on the road. She serves as a beacon of hope for those who have faced similar traumatic incidents and underscores the collective responsibility to put an end to road rage and bullying.
