Seremban 2‘s iconic City Park, a cherished green space for over two decades, is set to undergo a transformative RM 1 million upgrade by IJM Land.
The park, a central hub for the community since its unveiling in 2005, is poised to receive enhancements aimed at revitalising its appeal and ensuring it remains a vibrant sanctuary for residents and visitors alike.
The project, spanning three months, underscores IJM Land’s commitment to fostering a harmonious blend of nature and community in the heart of Seremban 2.
Future proofing the City Park
City Park stands tall as a prominent landmark in Seremban 2, attracting residents and ‘Serembanians’ to its sprawling 15-acre expanse.
Frequented by joggers, fitness enthusiasts, and families, the park boasts a jogging track, charming gazebos, exercise stations, and playgrounds. However, signs of wear and tear on the facilities prompted IJM Land to initiate a comprehensive upgrade.
Scheduled enhancements include the installation of an emblematic S2 City Park sign near the lake’s lookout point, serving as a central gathering spot. Existing signages and markers will be replaced or refurbished, with added evening lighting.
Two new sets of integrated playground equipment will cater to young children, ensuring a safe and enjoyable play environment. The optimisation efforts by IJM Land aim to prevent overcrowding and ensure seamless facility use.
Fresh and creative vibe at Seremban 2
To infuse a fresh and creative vibe into City Park, IJM Land has enlisted the expertise of Elmer Leong, founder of Art Studio Corridor. Leong will bring art, homelife, creativity, and nature to life through various Instagrammable backdrops and structures.
Ten brightly decorated cottages, playground cylinders, and other park elements will showcase vibrant artwork and illustrations, creating a nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of carefree days.
A highlight of the upgrade is the introduction of the ‘Tapir Corner,’ serving as the park’s new iconic feature and mascot. This addition aims to raise awareness about endangered tapir species protected under the Wildlife Conservation Act 2010 in Malaysia.
Chai Kian Soon, Senior General Manager of IJM Land, emphasises the rejuvenation’s purpose: to unite the community, prioritise well-being, and provide a harmonious space for leisure activities at City Park.
City Park, a vibrant hive of activity for Seremban 2 residents, has long offered a respite from daily life. The £1 million upgrade aligns with IJM Land’s commitment to enhancing the green hub, ensuring it remains a haven for homeowners
