Johor advances LRT proposal with key meeting

The Johor government is gearing up to take a significant step in the proposed implementation of a Light Rail Transit (LRT) system in the state.

State executive councillor Mohamad Fazli Mohamad Salleh announced that a crucial meeting is scheduled for November 30, during which a comprehensive discussion on the proposal’s refinement will take place.

This development comes as part of the state’s commitment to presenting the working paper on the LRT project to the federal government for approval.

The proposed LRT, covering approximately 30 kilometres with three lines, Tebrau, Skudai, and Iskandar Puteri, is estimated to cost RM20 billion.
