IOI Malls ring in 2024 with dual new year countdown

IOI Properties Group kicked off the new year with a bang, hosting two simultaneous New Year Countdown celebrations at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya, and IOI Mall Puchong.

Partnering with Astro Radio, the events featured electrifying performances, delectable food truck delights, and a shared sense of optimism.

Dual celebrations at IOI Malls

In collaboration with Astro Radio, IOI Properties Group organized two New Year Countdown events, building on the success of the previous year.

On-air talents from HITZ, ERA, MY, and GOXUAN stations added an extra layer of excitement to the festivities, engaging the audience with lively banter throughout the night.

Chris Chong, IOI Properties Chief Operating Officer of Property Investment (Malaysia), expressed his delight, saying, “This celebration was no different. Both our malls welcomed many members of the community who joined us in ushering in 2024.”

Carnival atmosphere for new year’s eve

At IOI City Mall, Putrajaya, the celebration commenced at 6 pm with audience giveaways, fire-eating, and pyro performances, creating anticipation.

The Symphony East wing hosted a diverse array of musical performances by local stars, including Gary Chaw, Misha Omar, Amir Masdi, and more. The stage came alive with talent from “The Chosen One,” a reality singing competition.

Simultaneously, IOI Mall Puchong’s open-air carpark witnessed a stellar lineup, including Jeryl Lee, Jestinna Kuan, and other top artists. Dance enthusiasts were treated to performances from the finalists of “Battleground Malaysia: Road to Gold,” the country’s largest street dance competition.

Both venues offered a carnival-like experience with activities and food trucks, ensuring a celebration for all ages. Mascot appearances from beloved children’s shows added to the festive atmosphere.

As the clock struck midnight, both IOI City Mall and IOI Mall Puchong treated attendees to a mesmerising display of fireworks, illuminating the night sky in a vibrant array of colours.
