Positioned as an ideal vacation spot for families, the Royal Fiesta Lumut Foodie Tour seamlessly combined a delightful fusion of gastronomic delights with a festive and vibrant atmosphere.
A groundbreaking celebration
The Member of the Pangkor State Assembly, Norhaslinda Zakaria, expressed her astonishment at the massive turnout, attributing it to the successful organization of the event. Noting that Teluk Batik had long been devoid of major celebration events, she highlighted the Royal Fiesta as a groundbreaking initiative in providing a platform for both locals and visitors to come together and celebrate.
“People, especially the local community, were seen taking the opportunity to come and liven up the event. This is also something positive in the effort to provide attractions for the public and promote Teluk Batik,” Norhaslinda commented, emphasizing the event’s role in fostering community engagement and promoting the scenic coastal town.
The President of the Manjung Municipal Council, Syamsul Hazeman Md Salleh, officially inaugurated the celebration, underscoring the commitment of local authorities to foster the growth and development of Teluk Batik as a prominent event destination. His presence marked the significance of the event, signifying the collective effort to showcase the town’s potential to host successful and engaging festivities.
Recognizing the collaborative effort behind the success of the Royal Fiesta, Norhaslinda extended her gratitude to the Manjung Municipal Council, the event organizers, and the sponsors who played pivotal roles in the success of the Royal Fiesta Lumut Foodie Tour at Dataran Teluk Batik. Emphasizing that their support was instrumental, she highlighted the significance of collaboration in instigating positive changes within the community.
A year-round hub for festivities
Teluk Batik has proven itself as an ideal event destination, with Norhaslinda outlining a strategic vision for its future as a year-round hub for festivities. This vision aims not only to keep the community engaged but also to attract visitors, thereby boosting the local economy. “We plan to organize similar events in the future, for example, during Independence Day celebrations and school holidays,” she said.
As Teluk Batik basks in the success of the Royal Fiesta, it stands as a testament to the potential for further growth and development. With plans for future celebrations and a renewed commitment to community engagement, Teluk Batik is poised to emerge not only as a picturesque coastal town but also as a thriving event destination, attracting visitors and fostering local prosperity.
