In a spectacular launch event at Centre Court, Mid Valley Megamall, Sun & Sand Sport (SSS) unveiled its ‘Active Arcade’ store, creating a unique fusion of fitness and entertainment.
The launch featured an array of activities, promising an extraordinary experience for fitness enthusiasts and lifestyle seekers alike.
Visionary expansion
With strategic stores in Mid Valley Megamall and Pavilion Bukit Jalil, and an upcoming outlet at TRX, SSS aims to establish 11 stores across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, within the next 36 months.
The expansion introduces Malaysians to a curated selection of over 21 global brands, redefining the approach to performance and well-being.
At the launch, Jaclyn Tan Shu Ping, VP of Marketing & Brand for GMG Asia, expressed, “Our entry into the Malaysian market is driven by a commitment to impart not just products but experiences that resonate with the ethos of a sporting community.”
SSS, rooted in the connection between sports and joy, encourages Malaysians to redefine their sport with a clear call to ‘redefine your sport with SSS.’
Active Arcade celebration
To celebrate the grand launch, SSS transformed Centre Court into an Active Arcade, offering gamified fitness activities with a generous total prize pool of RM50,000.
The immersive experience included challenges, custom-designed locker displays, and a public Sports Poll, engaging Malaysians of all ages in the celebration of fitness.
Participants could collect stamps by completing challenges such as ‘Find Your Balance,’ ‘Laundro Ball,’ ‘It’s Leg Day,’ ‘Bike Rush,’ and ‘Hoops for Days,’ with exciting rewards awaiting those who collected three stamps.
SSS stores in Malaysia provide access to quality sporting and lifestyle goods from renowned brands like Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Puma, ASICS, Under Armour, and more.
Beyond sportswear, the stores offer a diverse range of athletic equipment catering to various fitness needs, making it a haven for both seasoned athletes and fitness beginners.
