Ipoh City Council conducted its monthly digital lucky draw for November 2023, identifying 10 winners who remain eligible for the Lucky Draw for the Assessment Tax Year 2024.
The draw, officiated by Ipoh Mayor Dato’ Rumaizi bin Baharin, presents an opportunity for early payers to win cash prizes.
Ipoh rewards online tax payments
The mayor presided over the Lucky Draw for the Assessment Tax Year 2024 for December 2023. The draw offers a total cash amount of RM 4,500 to be won by 10 winners, with the main prize valued at RM 1,000.00.
This initiative serves as a token of appreciation for responsible residents who promptly fulfil their tax obligations to Ipoh City each year.The Monthly Assessment Tax Lucky Draw is also a part of the city’s transition to digital communication.
Rumaizi stated, “The Monthly Assessment Tax Lucky Draw is our way of acknowledging and thanking early payers who contribute to the city’s development.”
Starting from the 2/2023 term, physical bill deliveries to property owners have ceased. Residents are encouraged to download the DMBI application or visit the MBI portal (d-mbi@ipoh) for checking and making online payments.
Paying early pays off in Ipoh tax draw
Until December 2023, a total of 19,630 bills made early payments for the 2024 assessment tax bills, amounting to RM 7.06 million.
The Council extends participation opportunities in the lucky draw to all payment channels that make Annual Assessment Tax payments without arrears.
Residents can utilize various channels such as the Ipoh City Council Payment Counter, Post Office Counter, Perak PBT Counter, Kiosk Machines, and online payments through the MBI Portal (d-mbi@ipoh), PBTPay, Jompay, and internet banking.
Residents who haven’t settled their assessment tax payment yet are encouraged to make immediate payments.
They still have the opportunity to win the main prize in the Lucky Draw for the Year 2024, scheduled for March 2024.
The event, attended by Dato’ Mazlan bin Abd. Rahman, WHIP Chief of MBI Council Members, Council Members, Ahmad Munir bin Ishak, City Secretary, Senior Director, and Head of MBI Departments, reflects the collaborative effort to realise Ipoh’s aspiration to become an Intelligent City.
