LKE Group, a prominent family-run agricultural venture, inaugurated its 7th LKE Durian Fiesta today, with an official ceremony led by Datuk Bahria Mohd Tamil, Deputy Secretary-General (Management & Investment) from the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI). The three-day event, hosted at the smart and sustainable township of Gamuda Cove, promises an extraordinary ‘1-Hour Free Flow’ durian experience from 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. until January 14.

More than 8,000 kilograms of assorted durians sourced from different parts of Malaysia are set to be served, catering to over 4,000 anticipated visitors during the festival. The event not only aims to showcase the rich variety of locally-produced durians but also serves as a platform to unveil LKE Group’s upcoming equity crowdfunding (ECF) campaign on pitchIN.

Bronson Wee, Director of Sales & Marketing of LKE Group, highlighted the significance of the durian fiesta, stating, “Hosting bi-annual durian fiestas is a tradition for us. As a durian plantation management company on the path to becoming a publicly listed entity, we believe in the King of Fruits’ potential to unite people globally, boost our country’s economy, and foster a sustainable environment for future generations.”

DurianX and Smart Farming Integration

Founders Dato’ Jackky Lim and Jeremy Chin of LKE Group, who have been actively involved in community development in Manchis, Pahang, are now incorporating Smart Farming technologies into their durian plantation phases, emphasizing a commitment to technological advancement in the agriculture sector.

LKE Group currently manages over 200 acres of plantations, showcasing various durian varieties tailored to specific project specifications. The innovative DurianX phase integrates Smart Farming technologies, leveraging data analysis and monitoring to optimize durian tree growth conditions. This aligns the company with the Internet of Things (IoT) and government initiatives, storing valuable data in the Cloud to enhance research and development in durian plantations.
