Construction sites and commercial buildings in SS15 are the latest “breeding grounds” of the deadly Aedes mosquito.
In what was probably an immediate reaction to our “Red Alert” headlines on the dengue outbreak, the Subang Jaya Municipal Council mobilised a team of 60 personnel headed by MPSJ health officer Dr Roslan Mohamed Hussin to the SS15 commercial area, starting with a construction site.
The inspection yielded 3 samples from the construction site located along SS15/4G. Two of the larvae samples collected were later confirmed to be of the Aedes while the other was of the Culex mosquito.
