Sabah Tourism Board (STB) and AirAsia are set to establish a strategic partnership aimed at bolstering Sabah’s tourism industry.
Discussions between STB’s delegation, led by chairman Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, and AirAsia’s management team, led by CEO Bo Lingam, have laid the groundwork for an ambitious five-year master plan to enhance tourism prospects in Sabah.
MoC to promote Sabah, attract international visitors
The forthcoming Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) will mark the formalisation of a comprehensive partnership between STB and AirAsia.

A dedicated team from both sides is tasked with finalising the MoC, with a special emphasis on expanding international routes and upgrading facilities at Kota Kinabalu International Airport’s Terminal 2 to accommodate increased demand.
