Sunway Healthcare launches Paediatric First Aid E-book

Sunway Healthcare Group launches Paediatric First Aid E-book, empowering parents with life-saving skills for child emergencies.

In a significant effort to make essential first aid knowledge readily available to all, Sunway Healthcare Group unveiled its Paediatric First Aid E-book during a Children’s First Aid Workshop. The event, held in collaboration with Sunway Medical Centre Children’s Emergency Department and SunMed Kid’s Club, aimed to introduce a comprehensive educational resource designed to equip parents and caregivers with crucial skills to handle health emergencies involving children.

The Children’s First Aid Workshop provided a dynamic platform for parents and their children, offering a blend of enjoyable and educational activities. Various stations, each led by dedicated doctors from Sunway Medical Centre, Sunway City, and Sunway Medical Centre, Velocity, offered hands-on demonstrations covering essential first aid techniques for scenarios such as choking, resuscitation, and fractures. Attendees actively participated in learning these life-saving skills, using dolls for practical demonstrations that added an element of playfulness to the educational process.

Dr. Seow Vei Ken, Chief Executive Officer of Sunway Medical Centre, expressed the hospital’s unwavering commitment to advancing children’s health and well-being. He stated, “Sunway Healthcare Group is fervently committed to empowering parents and the community, working collaboratively to safeguard the health and well-being of our children. Our recent recognition as the top hospital for paediatrics in Malaysia in the Newsweek Best Specialised Hospitals Asia Pacific 2023 underscores our passion for excellence in paediatric services and community engagement.”
