The event, held from March 1 to 4, is poised to offer a dynamic platform for the furniture industry, attracting an anticipated 20,000 furniture professionals.

Record-breaking participation marks milestone year

The Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF) kicked off its 30th year anniversary with an impressive display of global participation, boasting a record-breaking 714 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions.

The diverse range of products and the expanded venue are expected to enhance the sourcing experience for attendees.

Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, Minister of Plantation and Commodities, inaugurated the event at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) and World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL).

Reflecting on the journey of MIFF, from its humble beginnings with 152 local exhibitors in 1995 to its current international stature, stakeholders lauded the event as a significant milestone for the Malaysian furniture industry.

The sold-out exhibition space, boasting a six per cent increase in exhibitors, signifies an optimistic outlook for international buyers and business prospects.

Dato’ Dr. Tan Chin Huat, Founder and Chairman of MIFF, expressed enthusiasm for the future of the event, highlighting its role as a vital conduit between Malaysian companies and the global market.

He stated, “MIFF is entering a new period… Exhibitors and buyers can expect better services and a better show experience from MIFF going forward.”

MIFF has emerged as a premier furniture marketplace, attracting buyers from 141 countries and regions over the past three decades.

This year’s event, covering 100,000 square meters across 17 halls, features renowned Malaysian exhibitors alongside international participants.

Notable Malaysian names include Ecomate, Evergreen Fibreboard, and Isella Sofa, among others. The expansion of key attractions such as Muar Hall and designRena underscores Malaysia’s prominence in the global furniture industry.
