IPC Shopping Centre, in collaboration with Alliance Bank, recently held the award ceremony for the IPC Little Eco-Heroes Awards.
The event celebrated the innovative ideas and passion for sustainability demonstrated by 40 finalists from primary and secondary schools.
Showcasing creativity and finding solutions
Launched in November 2023, the program received 151 submissions featuring eco-friendly solutions to environmental challenges.
The 40 finalists brought their ideas to life through functional or non-functional prototypes made from recycled materials.
These prototypes were displayed at a gallery open to public voting from 1st to 10th March.
Beyond the award ceremony, visitors of all ages were invited to participate in interactive activities promoting environmental awareness.
The “Recyclable Rescuer Race,” “Super Recycle Bowl,” and “Recycling Ranger Challenge” offered an entertaining way to learn about waste repurposing and recycling.
Participants who successfully completed the obstacle course received rewards, including 100 Tack Points and tote bags sponsored by Alliance Bank.

This initiative empowers children and youth to become changemakers for a sustainable future,” he stated.
The IPC Little Eco-Heroes Awards recognized winners in five categories, highlighting various aspects of young eco-innovation.
Winners received personalized certificates, trophies crafted from recycled materials, and Tack Points redeemable for various rewards.
Additionally, cash prizes were deposited into their Alliance Bank accounts, offering them tangible recognition for their achievements.
