Dettol, a leading hygiene brand, has launched the “Selangkah Lebih, Selangkah Kasih” (One Step More, One Step Closer to Love) campaign to support Muslims during Ramadan.
Recognising the importance of cleanliness during Ramadan, especially with larger gatherings for prayers, Dettol aims to empower individuals to prioritise health and hygiene.
The campaign emphasises regular hand washing, sanitising prayer rugs, and cleaning ablution areas to prevent the spread of germs within mosques and communities.
Dettol’s commitment to a safe and clean ramadan
Dettol’s commitment extends beyond awareness campaigns. The brand is donating RM100,000 worth of hygiene products to maintain a clean environment in mosques.
Additionally, a dedicated Dettol Squad will embark on comprehensive cleaning and disinfection missions at 20 mosques across the Klang Valley.
These efforts aim to create a germ-free environment for safe participation in religious activities.
Worshippers will also receive hygiene products and educational materials to further empower them to prioritise health and safety during Ramadan.
Dettol: Promoting health and social impact
Dettol’s efforts not only benefit worshippers but also contribute to a healthier and cleaner environment for the broader community.
This initiative reflects Dettol’s commitment to making a positive social impact.
“At Dettol, we believe hygiene is key to promoting health and well-being,” says Tiffany Tang, Marketing Director for Health, Malaysia and Singapore for Reckitt.
“This campaign provides resources and education to Muslim communities to stay healthy during Ramadan.
Our goal is to create a safe and hygienic environment in mosques, allowing worshippers to fully embrace the spiritual significance of Ramadan.”
The “Selangkah Lebih, Selangkah Kasih” campaign embodies the spirit of Ramadan by promoting both hygiene practices and acts of kindness and compassion.
Dettol’s efforts aim to create a harmonious balance between physical health and spiritual fulfillment, enriching the Ramadan experience for all.
