Canon addressing evolving customer needs
“We’re excited to introduce these advancements in large format printing,” said Jeffrey Kung, Head of Canon Marketing Malaysia’s Business Imaging Solution (BIS) Division.
“These printers elevate print quality, streamline operations, and address our customers’ evolving needs.”
Kung emphasized Canon’s commitment to being a one-stop solution provider.
“The new imagePROGRAF Series printers offer exceptional performance and environmentally conscious designs,” he stated.
“Our goal is to empower businesses with tools that turn creative visions into reality. At Canon, we believe business can be simple, and we’re leading the way in innovation to achieve that.”
Shared features and enhancements
Both Series utilize the new LUCIA PRO II pigment ink, delivering vibrant colors for eye-catching posters and boasting strong resistance to light and scratches.
Both models offer user-friendly features like see-through covers for monitoring supplies and interior lighting for inspecting ongoing prints.
Additionally, a new ink sensing system ensures consistent high-quality images by optimising ink landing positions and preventing colour shifts.
For efficient workflows, the printers incorporate a “Smart Roll Paper Set” function, automatically detecting paper source, type, and remaining amount, streamlining paper feeding and simplifying maintenance.
The imagePROGRAF GP Series caters to high-speed printing needs, ideal for in-house advertising offices and print shops.
Its LUCIA PRO II 7-colour pigment inks deliver vibrant prints with smooth gradation, supporting high-quality poster creation.
The imagePROGRAF PRO Series sets a new standard for photo and fine art printing.
It features LUCIA PRO II 12-colour pigment inks for an extensive colour gamut, perfect for producing high-quality prints on various paper media.
Reflecting Canon’s commitment to sustainability, the new printers come in eco-friendly cardboard packaging, replacing traditional Styrofoam.
This reduces polystyrene usage by 89.5% for specific models. The foldable corrugated cardboard boxes are more compact for installation, minimising waste disposal.
The imagePROGRAF GP and PRO Series printers are now available at authorised Canon partners.
