foodpanda Malaysia, in collaboration with Coca-Cola Malaysia and Viu, has launched a nationwide food basket distribution program to support families in need during Ramadan.

The initiative, inaugurated by Minister of Communications, Fahmi Fadzil aims to distribute 5,000 food baskets valued at RM50 each across Malaysia.

The program kicked off on March 11th and runs until April 9th, 2024. It will begin by providing assistance to over 200 families in the Lembah Pantai constituency before expanding nationwide.

“foodpanda’s commitment to positive change aligns with the government’s agenda of supporting the less fortunate,” said Fahmi.

“This initiative provides timely assistance during the holy month of Ramadan.”

Shubham Saran, Director of Operations at foodpanda Malaysia, emphasized the importance of community.

“We aim to support communities where we operate, starting with Lembah Pantai, where our headquarters are located,” he said.

“We appreciate the invaluable contributions of Coca-Cola Malaysia and Viu, which allow us to broaden our reach and make a greater impact.”

Contribute through the foodpanda app

foodpanda distributes food baskets for Ramadan

foodpanda is encouraging broader participation by allowing customers to contribute directly through the app.

By using the promo code DERMA with a minimum order of RM20, customers will receive RM1 off their order while also contributing to the food basket initiative.

Coca-Cola Malaysia is further amplifying the impact by doubling the donation amount for orders containing their products.

This marks their second year partnering with foodpanda during Ramadan to distribute food and essential items to those in need.

This collaborative effort by foodpanda, Coca-Cola Malaysia, and Viu demonstrates their commitment to social responsibility by supporting vulnerable communities during Ramadan.
