Forest City hosting ASEAN Tourism Forum

Forest City is poised to play a significant role in Malaysia’s tourism industry.

The project was recently confirmed as the host for the January 2025 ASEAN Tourism Forum, a major regional tourism event.

Additionally, the Transport Minister, Loke Siew Fook, has emphasised the need to consider Forest City during the planning of the proposed Kuala Lumpur-Singapore high-speed rail project.

Integrating Forest City’s Special Financial Zone and the Johor-Singapore Economic Zone into the project’s route is seen as crucial for sustainable development and regional growth.

Boosting investment and development

Johor Chief Minister Onn Hafiz has announced plans for closer collaboration between the Johor-Singapore Economic Zone and the Forest City Special Financial Zone.

This collaboration is expected to attract further investment, create jobs, and spur development projects in Johor, benefiting both residents and businesses.

Furthermore, at the suggestion of the Minister of International Trade and Industry, Tengku Zafrul Aziz, a new Iskandar Malaysia Facilitation Centre will be established.

This centre will streamline business operations in Forest City, further enhancing its attractiveness to investors.
