The three-day expo brings together over 20,000 industry professionals from 61 countries to address water security challenges in the region.
Focus on climate change and sustainability
Themed “Water Transformation and Climate Change: Innovation for Resilience,” the event emphasizes the need for innovative and sustainable water management practices.
A plenary session on the “Impact of Climate Change on Water Security in Southeast Asia” highlighted the urgency of this issue.
Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Bin Haji Yusof, , inaugurated the event, stressing the government’s commitment to addressing water challenges.
Dato’ Teo Yen Hua, Advisor of ASIAWATER 2024, emphasised the importance of knowledge sharing, showcasing advancements, and forging partnerships.

The exhibition features 10 International Pavilions showcasing solutions from various countries.
ASIAWATER 2024 is a catalyst for promoting responsible water use, pollution reduction, and fostering a culture of conservation – all essential for long-term sustainability,” said Dr. Ir. Ts. Hj. Mohmad Asari bin Daud, President of the Malaysian Water Association (MWA).
Over 50 “WATER TALKS” sessions are offered, covering current water issues, technological advancements, and sustainable solutions.
This year, ASIAWATER presents over 1,000 exhibiting brands showcasing cutting-edge water technologies and solutions.
Organisers emphasise that ASIAWATER is a platform for collaboration and action towards a more sustainable water future for developing Asia.
