Melaka is gearing up to host the highly anticipated Malaysia Bike Week, slated to take place at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) over three days, commencing June 14.

Chief Minister Datuk Ab Rauf Yusoh revealed that the event, organised in collaboration with the Superbikers Association of Malaysia, is poised to draw thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts and owners from various categories, including high-powered bikes.

The Malaysia Bike Week will not only serve as a platform for enthusiasts to converge but will also feature an impressive display of selected assets, including motorcycles belonging to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia.

Ab Rauf highlighted the significance of Malaysia Bike Week, stating, “Malaysia Bike Week is a prestigious event, which will attract motorcycle owners and enthusiasts, from home and abroad, to see the various types of motorcycles up close.”

Throughout the three-day festival, attendees can look forward to a plethora of engaging activities, including a lucky draw with the main prize being a Proton X70 car.

Ab Rauf emphasised that Malaysia Bike Week will be a major attraction for tourists, aligning with the Visit Melaka Year 2024 (TMM 2024) initiative aimed at promoting tourism in the region.

Prior to the Malaysia Bike Week, Melaka is hosting the Melaka International Motorfest and Scooterfest at the Melaka International Motor Circuit.

The two-day event, expected to draw over 10,000 local motorcycle owners and enthusiasts from both Melaka and abroad, serves as a precursor to larger-scale gatherings like Malaysia Bike Week.

Ab Rauf underscored the significance of such events, stating, “It will be one of the annual events in Melaka, which will not only attract tourists but also provide a platform for two-wheeler owners and enthusiasts, especially youths.”

MK41 Brotherhood, in collaboration with Panorama Melaka Sdn. Bhd., achieves a remarkable feat by uniting over 10,000 bikers nationwide to celebrate the Melaka International Motorfest & Scooterfest (MotoXFest) at the Melaka International Motor Circuit.

The event, extending until tomorrow, has garnered international interest with bikers from countries like Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines joining in.

This not only adds vibrancy to the festival but also fosters a safer and more organised motorcycling environment, adhering to national laws.
