Malaysian coffee chain Union Artisan Coffee has launched its first international outlet at the premium retail and office hub Worldmark Aerocity in New Delhi, India. This landmark opening is in partnership with food court operator Village Food Courts.
Union Artisan Coffee, owned by the Kuala Lumpur-based business group Incite Innovations, aims to bring its distinctive coffee culture to the Indian market. The new café will offer a variety of espresso-based beverages, iced coffee, tea, and an assortment of French-inspired bakery items provided by Le Clairé Patisserie.
“Our entry into India marks an exciting chapter in the Union Artisan Coffee story. We are delighted to introduce the Indian community to our unique blend of coffee culture,” said Tham Lih Chung, Group CEO of Incite Innovations. The café chain, which was launched in 2018, operates 11 stores across Malaysia and manages a network of food court concessions.
Expanding Horizons
The partnership with Village Food Courts, which operates multi-brand food courts within Indian shopping centres and major motorway service stations, is a strategic move to establish a foothold in India’s competitive coffee market. Village Food Courts also manages licensed outlets for brands like Kenny Rogers Roasters, Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop, and Wingzone.
The Aerocity café embodies the core values of Union Artisan Coffee, emphasizing excellence in coffee craftsmanship and community building. Each cup is crafted with a dedication to sourcing the finest beans and showcasing the artistry of coffee making. In addition to its signature coffees, the café offers a diverse culinary menu, including a live pasta bar, freshly made sandwiches, and a selection of pastries and desserts from Le Clairé Patisserie.
This expansion signifies not only growth for Union Artisan Coffee but also a commitment to creating spaces where people can connect and create lasting memories. The new outlet in Aerocity invites patrons to indulge in meticulously brewed coffee, artisanal ice creams, and a variety of bakery and egg-centric dishes, offering a sensory experience like no other.
The launch at Worldmark Aerocity is expected to be the first of many as Union Artisan Coffee continues to explore opportunities for expansion across India and beyond.
