Webull Malaysia debuts with zero commission trades campaign

Webull Malaysia revolutionizes trading in Malaysia, offering zero-commission trades and a chance to win Apple shares, aiming to empower investors.

Webull Securities (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“Webull Malaysia”) today announced the launch of the renowned global trading platform, Webull, in Malaysia. The platform is designed to cater to investors of all experience levels, providing access to trade Bursa Securities, Bursa Derivatives, and US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) via the Webull Malaysia app.

In April, Webull Malaysia secured a Capital Markets Services License for Dealing in Securities (restricted to listed securities) and Dealing in Derivatives from the Securities Commission Malaysia, positioning it well to enter the local market.

The launch of Webull Malaysia aligns with Bursa Malaysia’s ongoing efforts to enhance growth and participation from retail investors, particularly among the younger generation. As of Q1 2024, local retail investor participation in the securities market was at 22%, while the derivatives market saw 17% participation for FKLI and 25% for FCPO.

Advanced Technology and Real-Time Market Insights

Webull Malaysia’s platform is built on state-of-the-art global infrastructure and proprietary technology from Webull. It offers a comprehensive suite of real-time quotes, market information, financial news, industry data, insights, and analyst ratings from trusted sources, all accessible through a single touchpoint to aid investors in making informed decisions. Additionally, the platform features a Shariah indicator to help investors determine the Shariah-compliance status of stocks before trading.

Investors on the platform will have access to a wealth of educational resources and tools through Webull Learn. This feature offers on-demand content, including explainers of investment terminology, best practices, and how-to guides. Investors can also practice their trading strategies using Paper Trading, an in-platform simulator that allows buying and selling without real money.
