Rockwills and Dignity partner to advance financial literacy

Rockwills Group and Dignity for Children Foundation partner to promote financial literacy while supporting education for underserved children.

Rockwills Group has partnered with Dignity for Children Foundation in an initiative aimed at promoting financial literacy while supporting educational opportunities for children and young people from underserved communities.

Under the collaboration, Rockwills Group will contribute 10% of the proceeds from every copy of The Rockwills Guide to Financial Planning sold in support of Dignity for Children Foundation. The first contribution, amounting to approximately RM1,000, was presented to the foundation during a handover ceremony.

The initiative reflects an effort by both organisations to connect financial education with broader social empowerment, particularly through access to knowledge and practical skills.

Book sales support Dignity’s education mission

Priced at RM80, The Rockwills Guide to Financial Planning is available at Dignity’s Eat X Café and leading bookstores nationwide. The book will also be featured during Rockwills’ annual blood donation drive at its Plaza Armada office on Aug 8, giving members of the public another avenue to support Dignity through their purchases.

Beyond the book contribution, Rockwills conducted a financial planning seminar for Dignity’s staff, supporters and friends as part of the collaboration. The session extended the book’s educational focus into a practical setting, providing participants with an opportunity to gain greater awareness of financial planning.

Azhar Iskandar Hew, Group Chief Executive Officer of Rockwills International Group, said financial literacy was an important life skill that could help individuals make informed decisions and strengthen their financial resilience.

“At Rockwills, we believe financial literacy is a life skill that empowers individuals to make informed decisions, build financial resilience and secure a better future,” he said.

He added that the partnership would allow book purchases to contribute towards Dignity’s work in equipping underserved children and youth with knowledge and opportunities.

Partnership links financial and social education

Renee Koo, Head of Marketing & Communications at Dignity for Children Foundation, said the collaboration demonstrated how different forms of education could contribute to longer-term social impact.

“At Dignity, we believe education is the most powerful pathway out of poverty,” she said, noting that while the foundation focuses on academic, character and vocational education, financial literacy was also an important life skill.

Koo said the foundation was grateful for Rockwills Group’s support, which would complement its broader efforts to help children and young people build sustainable futures.

Rockwills International Group, which is marking its 31st year, pioneered professional will writing in Malaysia in 1995 and has since expanded into estate planning, trusts, succession, wealth management and related services. The group said it has prepared more than 360,000 wills, recorded over 200,000 Executor and Trustee Appointments, and holds more than RM29 billion in assets under trust.

Dignity for Children Foundation, based in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur, works with children from under-resourced and marginalised communities through education, character development and community empowerment. Its programmes span preschool and secondary education, vocational skills, wellbeing and sports initiatives.

The partnership highlights how financial literacy and broader educational support can complement one another, while directing part of the proceeds from a commercial educational resource towards a social development programme.
