Sinohydro marks Environment Day with beach cleanup

Sinohydro organized a successful beach cleanup at Jeram Beach, collecting 226 PET bottles and promoting sustainability ahead of World Environment Day.

In a proactive effort to promote environmental sustainability, Sinohydro Corporation (M) Sdn. Bhd. (Sinohydro) successfully organized a beach cleaning activity at Jeram Beach on June 4th. The event, held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., saw the enthusiastic participation of 17 dedicated colleagues who banded together to make a tangible impact on the local environment.

Armed with trash pickers, trash bags, and a strong sense of community, the volunteers combed through the beach, collecting a significant amount of plastic waste and other debris. The collected PET bottles were responsibly disposed of in recycle bins, ensuring that they will be processed and reused, rather than contributing to the growing problem of ocean pollution.

This initiative is part of Sinohydro’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement. By organizing this beach cleanup just days before World Environment Day on June 5, the company aims to raise awareness about the critical importance of preserving our oceans and marine ecosystems.

By participating in such initiatives, Sinohydro hopes to inspire other organizations and individuals to join the cause and make a difference. As part of its ESG initiatives, Sinohydro plans to continue organizing similar environmental activities in the future. The company believes that through consistent efforts and collaboration, meaningful progress can be made in the fight against environmental degradation.
