Luna Lights Wonderland, a roving carnival, has illuminated Taman Bukit Layang Layang in Pasir Gudang, just a 30-minute drive from JB Checkpoint.
Open daily from 7 pm to midnight, the wonderland promises a dazzling experience with tickets priced at RM15 for adults and RM8 for children under 12. Infants under a year old enter for free.
Enchanting Luna Lights installation
The Luna Lights Wonderland exhibition features 1.4 million LED light bulbs, transforming the night with a kaleidoscope of colours.
Bella Fionne, Business and Development Manager of Red Bear Event, highlighted the exhibition’s grand scale and appeal.
“We are targeting 300,000 visitors from home and abroad, including Singaporeans. Since opening on June 20, we’ve already attracted about 50,000 visitors,” she said during the Media Appreciation Day and Luna Lights Wonderland Dinner with Darul Hanan orphans.
Taman Bukit Layang Layang, spanning seven acres, hosts the event, marking its third stop this year after Pahang and Terengganu.
The park’s extensive facilities and spacious area made it an ideal location for this spectacular show.
Diverse themes and attractions
The exhibition is divided into five major sections: Space, Ocean, Animals, Romance, and Misty Forest. Each theme offers unique lighting installations designed to captivate and inspire.
Highlights include the Love Tunnel, Star Wars Tunnel, Avatar Tunnel, and various food stalls that enhance the overall experience.
Fionne explained the motivation behind choosing these themes and installations: “Our goal is to create a magical environment that appeals to all ages.
The diverse themes allow visitors to explore different worlds and immerse themselves in a truly enchanting experience.”
The exhibition has earned recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) for the largest lighting festival in Malaysia, using 1.4 million LED light bulbs.
This tour not only promotes the beauty of LED lights but also highlights their energy efficiency compared to traditional incandescent bulbs.
Luna Lights Wonderland began its journey in May last year and aims to visit 10 states. Johor marks the seventh destination, with the exhibition running until July 29.
The event is organised in cooperation with the Pasir Gudang City Council (MBPG) through the 2024 Pasir Gudang Green Dynamics Festival, reflecting a commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.
“Come and join us at Luna Lights Wonderland,” Fionne urged.
“It’s an experience you won’t want to miss. Bring your loved ones and immerse yourself in the magic of our light installations. We look forward to welcoming you!”
