JuiceUP revolutionises EV charging in Malaysia

JuiceUP, a leading end-to-end EV charging management solution, has launched an innovative open payment system to transform Malaysia’s EV charging experience.

The new system, a first in the country, simplifies the process by allowing users to pay with widely accepted payment methods, eliminating the need for specific apps or subscriptions.

JuiceUP’s open payment system is designed to enhance the accessibility and convenience of EV charging nationwide.

As a prominent Software as a Service (SaaS) provider specialising in EV charging infrastructure management for Charge Point Operators (CPOs), JuiceUP’s solution supports various payment methods, offering a seamless experience for EV users.

The launch event, attended by Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, also highlighted strategic partnerships with industry leaders in EV, finance, payment solutions, renewable energy, and IoT.

“Our goal is to ensure that as more affordable EVs enter the market, the charging and payment infrastructures can meet the growing demand,” said Benson Lim, CEO of JuiceUP.

“Our ‘Tap and Juice-up’ open payment solution is already operational in key cities, and we aim to cover 80% of Malaysia’s charging networks by 2025.”

JuiceUP’s new system is supported by key industry players, including Visa, CIMB, Bank Islam, Bank Muamalat, PaidChain, CUCUK, JusEV, TNB Electron, EVPower, Gading Kencana, Malakoff, TELD, VSD Automation, Sinexcel, Reactive Energy, and My Evolution.

These partnerships are essential to scaling the frictionless payment solution and robust Chargepoint Management System (CPMS) nationwide.
