Bonjour builders! The LEGO Group is bringing a slice of Paris to Malaysia with the launch of the country’s first LEGO Parisian Café and Art Gallery experience.
This exciting pop-up event at the Urban Node Atrium, Ground Floor (MRT Plaza Entrance) of The Exchange TRX will run until 25 August, inviting visitors to explore the magic of Paris through the world of LEGO.
A Parisian adventure in LEGO
Fans of the iconic brick brand can immerse themselves in a Parisian-themed environment, complete with LEGO elements that evoke the charm and beauty of the French capital.
This campaign is tailored for adults who love to travel, offering a journey through Parisian streets adorned with vibrant flower carts, quaint alfresco dining areas, and even a LEGO Eiffel Tower perfect for Instagram-worthy photos.
Ágnes Molnár, Marketing Director of Singapore, Malaysia, and APAC Travel Retail for The LEGO Group, said, “This is the first-ever campaign designed specifically for adult fans of LEGO in Malaysia.
Fans will especially be delighted to see the various Parisian-inspired setups at our Let’s Go Paris event in The Exchange TRX, as we aim to offer a unique opportunity to experience and celebrate the stunning art, charming culture and magnificent architecture of the city of love, as though they are strolling through the streets of Paris themselves.”
Exciting features and exclusive collectibles
The pop-up also includes an art gallery and museum showcasing LEGO artwork inspired by Paris, making it a must-visit for both LEGO enthusiasts and art lovers.
Visitors can collect an event-exclusive LEGO Passport by signing up for a free membership with Box of Bricks, redeeming a limited-edition passport and Notre-Dame stamp typically available only at travel retail stores in airports, LEGOLAND Malaysia, and selected LEGO Certified Stores globally.
Highlighting the event are two of LEGO’s newest products that celebrate iconic Paris landmarks: the 31213 LEGO Art Mona Lisa and 21061 LEGO Architecture Notre-Dame de Paris sets.
These sets bridge the fun of LEGO play with the unique aspects of travel, making them perfect for anyone looking to add a touch of Paris to their collection.
Trevor Hill, General Manager at The Exchange TRX, shared his excitement: “We are ecstatic to collaborate with The LEGO Group to bring Malaysia’s first Parisian Café and Art Gallery to The Exchange TRX!
This opulent experience allows our shoppers to live or relive their Parisian dreams through the creativity and imagination beyond LEGO bricks.”
The event space will feature several interactive zones to engage visitors:
- Eiffel Tower Speed Build Challenge: Participants can challenge themselves to build an Eiffel Tower using LEGO bricks within 60 seconds to win a LEGO voucher.
- Travel Posting Photo Contest: Visitors can snap a series of travel-themed photos at the LEGO photo booths and post them on social media with the hashtags #LEGOMY and #LETSGOPARISMY for a chance to win a LEGO playset.
- Instagram Hashtag Printing Booth: Guests can take a picture at the photo booth, post it on social media, and collect a customised print-out at the print station.
Shoppers who post photos taken at the event on social media can redeem limited edition luggage stickers, which will change weekly, from the redemption counter on a first-come, first-served basis.
The available stickers include designs like a LEGO Tuxedo Cat, a Parisian skyline, and a LEGO Bouquet of Roses.
